6P is mainly for laser projectors. P is the abbreviation of Primary, representing the primary color. RGB laser projector is built by RGB, which is the independent laser transmitter with three colors of red, green and blue. In this principle, it is really at the level of 3P. Speckle is caused by the interference of light. Laser has high coherence because of its narrow wavelength bandwidth. When light is reflected on the screen surface, it can be seen as the superposition of coherent wavelets reflected on the screen. The phenomena we see are grainy spots, or noise spots, between light and dark. Speckles are particularly evident in metal screens and high-brightness pictures.
 
 
 
Speckle has a great influence on the projection effect. If the speckle is obvious, it will seriously affect the viewing experience of the audience. Manufacturers of RGB projectors will use various methods to minimize speckle (theoretically, it is impossible to eliminate speckle completely). But you can try to be invisible or invisible to the naked eye.) 6P is one of the main methods.
 


The three colors of red, green and blue use two different wavelength lasers, so there are six different wavelength colors. 6P technology can disturb the "purity" of narrow bandwidth laser and effectively reduce the phenomenon of speckle because it increases the type of wavelength (color). Another advantage of using 6P technology is the improvement of 3D quality. Because of the color separation principle of the 3D system, so 3D light efficiency is higher, brightness, contrast and color performance is better, and there is no crosstalk phenomenon.
 
 
 
Different brands of projectors have different ways of realizing 6P. For example, Barco's flagship laser projector, 6P is all integrated in the fuselage of a projector, that is, a single built-in 6P. The 6P system of Keshi and NEC need to be implemented by two computers, one group of long wavelength and the other group of short wavelength. Laser source also uses external module to guide light into projector fuselage through optical fiber coupling.
